Railway Cottages Exhibition

Throughout September, the Railways Cottages exhibition is a free exhibition at Stockton Central Library Exhibition Space, first floor. 

The talk Life in Stockton's Railway Cottages 1841-1921 by Donna Hetherington on 26 September. This presentation showcases some of the everyday lives of people who resided in Stockton's 'Railway Cottages' and worked for the Railway. Through family history research we find where people originated from, what their occupations were, if they raised families here, or moved on. It is a story about migration, working class lives and industrial development in the area.
