WOW North East

The first ever Women of the world Festival in the north-east of England will be packed with unmissable talks, commissions and performances, celebrating achievements and stories from women, girls, and non-binary people. 

Following in the footsteps of WOW Festivals that have taken place around the world from Rio to Karachi, there will be a special programme for local schools on Friday, followed by a day-long WOW Festival on Saturday. 26 women who have either changed or shaped the region will be highlighted.
